Exploring Denver: Dairy Block

Dairy Block is a historic block located in Denver’s LoDo neighborhood was once home to Windsor Dairy, and is now a vibrant micro-district that boasts 15 shops, 19 restaurants, seven bars, a luxury co-working space, and a 172-room boutique hotel. From the enticing atmosphere of The Alley to the local culinary concepts at Denver Milk Market—Dairy Block comes to life the more you explore.⠀ ⠀ Here are my recommendations:⠀ * Grab a pre-dinner drink at Poka Lola, a reinvention of the every man’s cocktail bar, with a nod to turn of the century American soda fountain culture,⠀ * For dinner, walk through the Denver Milk Market and see what catches your eye. It is an all-local, all-wonderful mix of take-away and dine-in restaurants and bars run by Colorado chef Frank Bonanno. Tip: get a little bit of everything or bring picky eaters, they are bound to find something they love in this 16 venue cornerstone.⠀ * For a post-dinner drink, head over to Run for the Roses, a underground cocktail bar inspired by the Kentucky Derby. There is a rotating menu of seasonal libations and the best game of 52 card pickup you’ll ever play (the cocktail menu is a deck of cards). You can’t really go wrong with your choice, but the Alaska, El Diablo, and Tequilla Collins are tantalizing.⠀ * Be sure to take plenty of photos while visiting! There are many different art installations that will sure take your IG to the next level.⠀
